Deadman Standing – Free Movie

Join the Sand Creek Summer Daze Festival committee for a showing of Deadman Standing (Rated R), a movie about Newton’s famous Hyde Park Massacre. Nicholas Barton, a Great Bend native, co-wrote and directed the movie which was released this past December. Nicholas will be here to help introduce his movie and answer questions regarding the writing and research process and how it got made. Sand Creek Festivals, Inc. will supply free popcorn, tea and water. The Meridian Center will have adult beverages for sale.
